Chase Pipes serves as the co-owner and operator of Smoky Mountain Relic Room, a retail and wholesale store that makes crystals, fossils, historical artifacts, and minerals from every era available to the general public at affordable prices. In addition to running the store, Chase Pipes hosts Chasing History, a Youtube series and radio show that gives audiences a behind-the-scenes look into his search for items to sell at his store, and teaches them about the men and women responsible for making new historical discoveries.

This interest in history began when Mr. Pipes was a kid. At the age of 6, he discovered one of his first artifacts in sevier County tennessee. A Native American projectile point, this artifact kicked off his interest in the history of the people who made it which lead to a life of preserving and finding good homes for historical artifacts. Since then, he has traveled around the world searching for new artifacts to spread the passion of collecting history.

Outside of work, Chase Pipes enjoys several hobbies related to history. He is an avid metal detectorist and frequently digs for fossils, crystals, and minerals in his free time. Beyond that, he maintains a commitment to restoring damaged historical artifacts, volunteers as a living historian at state parks in Virginia and Tennessee, and researches the history of artifacts, people, and events. Furthermore, Mr. Pipes enjoys funding historical research and historical preservation activities with the proceeds that come from sales through his store.
